By bedroom count, 38 listings have two, 22 have three, 11 have one, 3 have four and 1 has five or more. Czech listings use layout codes such as 2+kk or 3+1; check floor plans. See Czech apartments for the country picture.
Brno is the Czech Republic's second-largest city, in the south-east, with several universities, a technology and engineering base and a strong student rental market. Neighbourhoods such as the centre, Královo Pole and Brno-Líšeň vary in character. Prague is a train journey away and has its own page; Karlovy Vary is a spa town on the far side of the country and not a nearby market.
Brno's centre is compact and walkable, while the large panel-housing districts such as Lesná and Líšeň offer lower prices and good tram links. Older pre-war flats near the centre have high ceilings but may need new wiring and windows. In every case, ask for the energy performance certificate, the building's repair-fund balance and any planned works voted by the owners' association. Short-term rentals are regulated, so do not assume Airbnb income without checking the building's rules.
Foreigners can buy flats and houses in the Czech Republic. The real estate transfer tax was abolished in 2020, so costs are mainly legal fees, a cadastre fee and agent commission. Lawyers or notaries often hold funds in escrow. Check the cadastre for liens, the building's SVJ (owners' association) finances and the energy label.

No. It was abolished in 2020, but check current rules with a lawyer.
Brno has many universities, so small flats near them are in demand. Check actual rents locally.
